Cardiac Device and Rhythm Management PGCert Student

Jess Bloodworth

I choose to come to the University of Leeds to study my course as Leeds is an ideal location to study; it is a vibrant and diverse city. The university is easy to get to with excellent transport links.

I have been a Cardiac Physiologist within the NHS for 20 years.

I had epiphany of sorts with the EP aspects of the Tachy devices module – various people have tried for many many years to get me to understand it, finally, I got it! There’s a great mix of classroom sessions and practical work along with the case studies for assessment.

I had a 12-year gap between my undergraduate degree and this course, I found it challenging having been away from academic study for so long but rewarding and worth all the hard work.

Staff were very supportive, Lisa the programme leader was available to discuss any issues I had. The activities on the VLE provided the opportunity to gain feedback.
