About us
LIMR is the largest research institute in the School of Medicine. We have around 90 academic staff and approximately 400 research staff and research students.
Most of our education and training is undertaken at the St. James's University Hospital, with some staff based on the main University campus and at Leeds General Infirmary.
LIMR brings together scientists and clinicians to focus on excellence in science and the translation of that science to the benefit of patients.
Our courses
As well as our research, we are committed to excellence in student education. Our academics contribute to teaching on the MBChB programme, the postgraduate Molecular Medicine and Cancer Biology and Therapy courses, both based at St James’s and many other courses across the School of Medicine and the wider University.
