I have been in the field of medical research for five years and I realised that studying epidemiology and biostatistics will provide great help for my career.

I decided to study this MSc at Leeds because I wanted to expand my knowledge from a previous MSc in public health to include biostatistics. This MSc taught me directed acyclic graph (DAG) and advanced modelling methods with simulation in R, which were challenging topics.

I found the multilevel and latent variable modelling module intriguing because it provided me with the chance to handle a research project by applying the knowledge I gained from the course to my personal interest in learning structural equation modelling.

The teaching quality exceeded my expectation because in Myanmar self-learning is more integral to our education system than being taught. I received extraordinary support from advanced modelling strategies module, multi-level and latent variable modelling module and the statistical inference module.

Following graduation, I have been working as an epidemiologist in a public hospital.
