Doctorate in Clinical Psychology

Selection procedure

The University of Leeds clinical psychology training programme has one intake of students each year.  All applications are made via the Clearing House system.  The Clearing House pages have information about each training programme, including entry requirements.  There are also pages about funding, equal opportunities and details about the application process.  More information about the programme: placements, coproduction with experts by experience, research and teaching can be found here and our application shortlisting criteria can be found here.

The University is committed to addressing the longstanding underrepresentation in clinical psychology of people from racialised minority groups .  We have worked with the other programmes in the Yorkshire and the Humber region to run open days and a mentoring scheme for people from racialised minority groups.  More details about upcoming opportunities will be available on our website soon, in the meantime please contact the course here to register your interest.

The University of Leeds and Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust have a selection procedure that aims to encourage more people with a disability to apply to the Clinical Psychology Training Programme. A document that should answer some frequently asked questions about the 'Positive about People with Disabilities' process is available here. Any potential applicant wishing to discuss issues relating to disability is welcome to contact Fiona Thorne, Clinical Tutor.

Please see the Clearing House website for more details on entry requirements and how to apply.
