In advance of starting our audiology course, it is good practice to familiarise yourself with the professional and regulatory bodies for audiologists. Please see the below links for student resources and further reading (including the standards expected of audiology students)

  1. The British Society of Audiology
  2. The British Academy of Audiology
  3. Health Education England NHS constitutional values
  4. The skills@library contains help and online resources for assisting our taught students how to develop their academic skills.

You don’t need to read any core texts beforehand but the following books are useful to year 1 study. However, these will be available in the University and you do not necessarily have to purchase them.

Essentials of Audiology (2016) Gelfand, S., Thieme Verlagsgruppe, 4th Ed.
