Research topics in Healthcare and Psychology

In the School of Healthcare we have expertise to supervise PhD students in the following areas; long term conditions; mental health, maternal child and family health; medicines optimisation and people, systems and services. Find out more.

Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions This scholarship is provided by the European Commission.
Ministry of Religious Affairs of Indonesia (MoRA) Scholarship This scholarship is available for those who work in the institution or government sectors under MoRA.
Newton-RISTEKDIKTI Doctoral Scholarship The funding is for doctoral and post-doctoral study. It is a collaboration between the UK and the Indonesian government.
Schlumberger Fellowship For women from developing countries whose focus is science, technology, engineering or medicine (STEM). The funding is available for doctoral and post-doctoral study.

Aceh Government Scholarship This fellowship is limited to Aceh citizens to pursue a master or doctoral programme.
Indonesian Education Scholarship/Beasiswa Pendidikan Indonesia (BPI) This scholarship is available for master and doctoral programmes. The funding is provided by the Indonesian government through Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP).
Lecturer Education Scholarship This fellowship aims to fund Indonesian lecturers, or prospective lecturers, to continue their study for master and doctoral programmes.
Islamic Development Bank (lsDB) Scholarship lsDB provides scholarships for bachelor, master and doctoral programmes for country members, including Indonesia.

Chevening Scholarship  This funding is for master degree only.


Process of application

If you are potentially interested in applying to undertake a PhD the School of Healthcare or School of Psychology at the University of Leeds this is how you can take this forward step by step.

  1. Contact the assigned advisor on postgraduate studies at your organisation to register your interest and to discuss this opportunity. You can do so at any point in your studies. You will be provided advice about the academic achievement expected. We are open to applications from all universities in Indonesia and are currently working particularly closely with the following universities and assigned contacts:

  1. If you have or are near to obtaining your Bachelor or Master degree, you will be considered for an interview with a representative from the University of Leeds. This interview is to assess your academic potential, motivation and match with available supervisors.
