Since leaving Leeds, I have worked in the area of UX and Digital Strategy. I also furthered my education in Copenhagen and gained an MSc in Ebusiness. I am currently a User Researcher at Credit Suisse in Zurich. I am managing a UX Lab with eye-tracking and emotion recognition to help improve the digital products and services at the bank.
Psychology has helped in a number of ways. It has given me credibility in research as well as an understanding of how to approach business problems. Furthermore, my dissertation was about emotion recognition which was extremely helpful in my current role.
If I could the advice I would give to myself now whilst studying would be to broaden your horizons. Make sure you're aware of the different options that Psychology can offer you. Be conscious of opportunities in your periphery.
