Sara Levy

I graduated from Leeds University in 2013 with a First Class Honors Degree. I then went on to study at The University of Manchester to complete a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) which was funded after achieving a First. I graduated in 2014 and got a job as a primary school teacher for 4 years in Bury.

A degree from the School of Psychology has benefited me in the workplace has a degree helped me with lots of aspects within my teaching career. My knowledge in Psychology helped me to support all the different children with their variety of needs. In particular, having the relevant knowledge to support children with Special Educational Needs; I was able to plan and tailor my lessons to reflect that.

After 4 years of teaching, I decided to challenge myself and venture into a new career. I will luckily always have my teaching qualification to go back to. I am now working in Swinton as a buyer. I have to work under pressure and to tight deadlines whilst also being very competent with numbers. I’m constantly communicating with various stakeholders globally too.
