I got into my current profession from completing a post-doc after my PhD in psychology at the University of North Carolina, USA – increased my interest and experience in evaluation of obesity interventions. Then got a research fellowship at the CTRU.
A degree from the School of Psychology benefited me in the workplace as fundamentals of eating behaviour and clinical trials.
If I could, the advice I would now give to myself whilst studying would be to make the most of your time, speak to everyone, don’t be afraid to ask questions, say yes to networking events.
