Career paths after your Masters

Our courses combine specialist clinical training with a focus on transferable skills to open up a variety of options after graduation. Each of our courses offers its own possibilities. 

Dental public health

The transferable and research skills gained through dental public health provide an ideal platform for a career in a range of areas within the field of dentistry. These vary from government offices to health service planning, health agencies and progression through academia and teaching.

Paediatric dentistry

Paediatric dentistry provides you with the specialist preparation needed for a path into primary or secondary paediatric dentistry. Additionally, some of our graduates also go on to further study taking PhD qualifications, or working in academia.

Oral surgery

Our oral surgery course offers a wealth of hands-on clinical experience to make sure you establish the necessary skills to flourish as a practitioner. By upskilling your core competencies, this course will help you stand out with employers looking for dental practitioners with advanced surgical experience.

From Masters to PhD

Your Masters may be a step on the way to attaining your PhD. This is especially true if you're part of the Dentistry Clinical Academic Training pathway.

Our research-led teaching eases this transition with the breadth of course options available meaning you'll be well prepared for your specialism.
