I decided to study the MSc in Health Informatics and Data Science having no previous knowledge of the field and not really understanding what the two were.  By week one, I was fully versed in what health informatics is and how it is being applied to support the drive in use of real world data. The teaching on the course covers a multitude of disciplines from law and ethics to AI and Machine Learning and allowed me to gain knowledge of so much in just one year.

With key lecturers and many guest lecturers, opportunities for group work as well as individual projects, this degree improved a lot of my communication skills and developed my interest in making data save lives. For anyone considering this course, I would say go for it. There isn’t a more opportune time to become acquainted with  the world of health data and data science.
