Celebrating Midwifery festival, International day of the Midwife
The School’s Midwifery department are hosting midwifery festival in partnership with LTHT on 5 May, the International day of the Midwife.
The event will run over two sites at St James’ hospital and Leeds General infirmary, where will be a series of presentations by our academics and our PHD students (see the full programme here) and an awards ceremony.
Presentations include Birth matters clinic in Leeds, Zoe Darwin; Perinatal mental health in Indonesia, by Cesa Prawiti, and a presentation on midwifery research by Tomasina Stacey.
The St James events begin at 10am in the Gledhow Seminar Room and the LGI events begin with lunch in the Parentcraft room. Dr Kuldip Bharj will open both events.
