Jakki’s current project is “OPTIMAL CARE” and is funded by the National Institute for Health Research. This project aims to understand how Electronic Palliative Care Co-ordination Systems (systems that support the documenting and sharing of care preferences) are currently being used in routine care and how their implementation can be improved to maximise the benefit to patients.

I tutor on the Individuals & Populations Year 1 Undergraduate Medicine (MBChB) course. This course has a focus on the psychological and societal aspects of behaviour and human development, their role in health and illness and treatment of medical problems.
