Monty Losowsky Memorial Lecture to take place

The Annual Monty Losowsky Memorial Lecture will take place Thurs 14 Oct, 5-7.30 pm. This year’s event will be on zoom.

This is an event, in collaboration with Thackray Medical Museum, sponsored by OneMedicalGroup to commemorate a former Dean of Medicine who helped establish Thackray medical Museum. The keynote shall be delivered by Professor Roger Kneebone, Imperial College.

Professor Kneebone is a surgeon, educator and performer and shall talk about his latest book “Expert: Understanding the path to mastery” and podcasts “Countercurrents”, where he reveals how people perfect their skills.

This event features a lecture competition, where shortlisted entries from School of Medicine students compete for £1000 prize:

Sam Peat, Year 5 MBChB “Computers on the Brain: An exploration of the use of AI in neuro-oncology”

Dr Ronan Pilkington, FY1 MBChB Leeds 2021 “Medicine in the Spotlight”
