Dennis Parker Prize 2016
The Leeds Medical Student Community First Responder (CFR) Scheme is a volunteering initiative that will train medical students to respond to urgent emergencies in their local area.
The committee also gave honourable mention to the Healthcare Technology Cooperative Foundation (HTCf) and an application submitted by recent MBChB graduate William Bolton on behalf of the student-led affiliation set up to champion interdisciplinary collaboration and education amongst undergraduates to tackle unmet clinical needs, particularly in surgery and biotechnology.
Watch this video to hear James tell the Dean of Medicine, Paul Stewart, about how he came to develop this Scheme and apply for the Prize.
