BHF Yorkshire day fundraiser
LICAMM students and staff got involved in Yorkshire Day (1st August) celebrations to help raise money for the British Heart Foundation. Cake sales, quizzes and bucket collections were held inside and outside (Leeds train station) of LICAMM in order to raise money and awareness for the BHF.
The BHF currently funds over £31 million worth of research across Yorkshire and Humber, with the Yorkshire Day contributions set to bring about vital research, treatments and long term care for people with heart and circulatory conditions students and staff at LICAMM wanted to give something back independent of research.
Students and staff celebrated Yorkshire Day with a range of baked goods, quizzes and games in order to raise money in aid of the BHF. Students and staff at LICAMM raised a total of £191.23, which bumped the total raised for the BHF’s Yorkshire Day campaign to £645.48!
Thank you to everyone who donated and the generosity of the bakes in LICAMM.
