Silver success celebrated at awards ceremony

Colleagues from the School of Medicine formally received our Silver Athena SWAN award in Liverpool yesterday.

Dr Louise Bryant, Sara Hayes, Professor Pam Jones and Professor Anne-Maree Keenan, who have been heavily involved in our gender equality work, were formally presented with the Silver Award at a ceremony in Liverpool yesterday.

The award was presented by the Equality Challenge Unit which works to further and support equality and diversity for staff and students in higher education across the UK and in colleges in Scotland.

The team from the School were delighted to receive the award which recognises significant effort and dedication to work toward gender equity.
