Profile
I am a postgraduate researcher (Bio-mechanics, Bio-tribology and Tissue engineering) at the University of Leeds, with a master's degree in tribology from the Erasmus Joint Master's Program and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from NMIT, VTU, India. My passions include research, teaching, and content creation. I also serve as an author, editor and content manager at TriboNet and host Tribo Geek, a YouTube channel where I share insights on travel, research life, and guidance for master's and PhD students.

Research interests
My research focuses on understanding the structural, biomechanical, and biotribological properties of articular cartilage in patients with osteoarthritis and type 2 diabetes comorbidity. Using a multidisciplinary approach, I apply engineering principles to characterize human cartilage samples obtained from joint replacement surgeries, with the goal of developing innovative therapeutic strategies to slow cartilage degeneration, enhance lubrication, and improve joint function.
My work integrates tissue engineering techniques—including tissue preparation, histology, and mechanical testing—with advanced tribological and material characterisation tools such as micro/nano tribometers, optical profilometry, and scanning electron microscopy. This combined expertise enables me to explore novel approaches for developing artificial lubricants and regenerative solutions for degenerative joint diseases.
In addition to my research, I have experience as a Teaching Assistant for undergraduate medical students, as well as a content manager and author at TriboNet, where I create tribology-focused educational content. I am passionate about bridging engineering and medical science to address real-world health challenges.
