Karis Vercoe

Profile

I embarked on my Radiography journey at the University of Cumbria, where I earned a BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography. During my studies, I trained at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust.

After qualifying, I began my professional journey as a Paediatric Diagnostic Radiographer at Manchester Children's Hospital. In 2022, I joined the University of Leeds as a Teaching Assistant, focusing on the development and delivery of teaching within the Radiography Clinical Skills Facility. This state-of-the-art facility provides blended learning experiences through live-patient imaging, simulation and a diverse range of activities, catering to students across all three academic years.

Additionally, I am Module Lead for two first year modules.

While at the University of Leeds, I achieved Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and advanced to the role of Lecturer in Diagnostic Radiography. I also successfully completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PGCert), further enhancing my expertise in education and clinical training.
