Profile
I am a Clinical Teaching Fellow in Family Therapy, teaching on the Systemic Practice, Systemic Family Therapy and DClinPsychol courses.
I also practice as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Systemic Psychotherapist in the NHS in the field of Perinatal Mental Health.

Research interests
I have research interests in the fields of systemic psychotherapy and early family life, particularly as they relate to maternal and perinatal mental health.
My supervision of D Clin Psych thesis projects has focused on topics including couples’ experiences of perinatal mental health services; baby loss; birth trauma; and particularly the experiences of parents and partners from minoritised ethnic groups.
I have a longstanding interest in the philsophical work of of Gilles Deleuze and am currently undertaking additional PhD research studies at the University of Huddersfield on the topic of new materialism, systemic psychotherapy and the perinatal assemblage under the supervision of Prof. Nick Fox and Dr. Zoe Darwin.

Student education
I work at the University of Leeds part-time with Wednesday as my main working day at the University.
I lead the Postgraduate Certificate in Systemic Practice and teach on the Foundation and Intermediate courses in Systemic Practice, as well as the MSc in Systemic Family Therapy where I lead on the research components of this programme. I also contribute to the systemic and perinatal teaching on the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology course.
