Profile

Responsible for developing and delivering careers input within the curriculum, delivering one to one careers counselling and developing careers related technology-enhanced learning products. I qualified as a Careers Adviser in 1998 and over the years have worked with a range of groups from young people to adults and graduates.

I worked as a lecturer at the University of Huddersfield on the Qualification in Careers Guidance and delivered training to professionals\nworking within the former Connexions Service (delivering support and careers guidance to young people). I then moved to a project management role within the Regional Development Agency - Yorkshire Forward, where I managed a range of budgets and projects related to skills and particularly the graduate employment\nmarket. This involved working with the university careers services across the region to ensure that graduates were encouraged to stay within the region following graduation. I returned to Higher Education Careers\nGuidance in 2010 until the present day, working at the University of York followed by my current role as Careers Consultant/Coordinator on the MBChB working with\nmedical students in all 5 years of the course.
