Profile
I am the manager of the Clinical Skills Education Team based in the Clinical Practice centre at St James hospital.In addition to my teaching experience I have 15 years experience working within the NHS. Prior to undertaking my current role I worked across two organisations, sharing my time working as a Clinical Skills Educator within LIME, and as an Emergency Department Sister within the Urgent Care Directorate at LTHT. I am a registered nurse by background and during my nursing career I specialised in Urgent care specifically relating to Emergency Medicine. My specialist areas of interest are care of the acutely unwell patient, trauma management and Advanced Life Support and I am a ALS Instructor. I have undertaken a PGCE in Clinical Education and have interests in both patient safety and simulation & technology enhanced learning.I cover teaching for all years of medical/dental students as the timetable requires around my management duties.
