Dr Ciara Masterson

Current and Previous Roles

I am responsible for leading, organising and teaching on the theory and practice of cognitive behavioural therapy on the Clinical Psychology programme. My previous roles have been within the NHS. I have specialised in using CBT with adult clients within adult mental health and physical health services.

Current research interests

My main interest is in complex interventions (primarily psychological therapies); the training and supervision of practitioners to deliver them; and evaluation of adherence to protocols and treatment integrity. I am interested in supervising projects on therapy process and in the experience of delivering and receiving therapy with "unsuccessful" outcomes.
