Profile

My role is to ensure the development and delivery of high-quality primary care placements for Leeds medical students across all years of the MBChB delivering the administrative and organisational infrastructure to support placements and education in primary care. This involves liaison with external bodies and colleagues within the School of Medicine to co-ordinate support for all Primary Care MBChB activities including:

  • placement allocations
  • recruitment
  • assessment
  • student travel
  • attendance monitoring
  • quality assurance
  • CPD workshops and events

I oversee the system of remunerating and communicating with the 110+ teaching practices currently supporting all placement activity and work with the academic lead for Quality Assurance to ensure primary care placement provision is of the highest standard.
