Profile

As Primary Care and Community Placements Manager, I ensure the development and delivery of high quality primary and community care placements for Leeds medical students across all years of the MBChB. I work alongside members of the placement management team within the MBChB focussing on placement development and delivery. My role is pivotal to the building and maintaining of strong relationships with our external partners in primary and community care including placement providers and funders on which the MBChB programme relies. I work as part of the clinical placements management team and alongside the Head of Education in Primary Care to oversee the £2.7 million primary care budget and manage all contact with the School’s 110 placement providers. I play an instrumental role in developing close working relationships with clinical practices to quality assure placements. Primary care currently achieves an average of 91% across all evaluation domains/years and I play a key role in ensuring we achieve and maintain this high quality learning experience for Leeds students.
