Profile
I joined the Leeds Institute of Health Sciences as a PhD student in 2018. Before completing my PhD, I began working as a Research Assistant (Data Analyst), gaining hands-on experience in data management and analysis. In 2022, I successfully completed my PhD, focusing on culturally adapted Behavioural Activation for the treatment of depression.
In 2023, I undertook Research Manager (Trial Manager) role in the Dental Translational and Clinical Research Unit, where I contributed to the coordination and management of clinical trials. While in this role, in 2024, I also began working as a Seconded Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Leeds Institute for Data Analytics, further expanding my research expertise in data science and analytics.
In 2025, I transitioned to my current role as a Research Statistician at the Institute of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine, where I apply statistical methodologies to support The Paediatric Intensive Care Audit Network (PICANet), contributing to the analysis of critical care data to improve paediatric intensive care outcomes.
Research interests
I have experience in analytical techniques applied to electronic healthcare data, with a particular focus on processing and analyzing large, complex clinical datasets. My main research interests include the application of statistical methodologies, such as clustering techniques, generalized regression models, multiple imputation, and advanced survival analyses, including flexible parametric survival modelling.
I am involved in the management and analysis of large-scale healthcare datasets from various sources, including Post-Hospitalisation COVID-19 data, the Leeds Data Model, and the Paediatric Intensive Care Audit Network (PICANet) data.
