Profile

I am a Clinical Tutor on the University of Leeds Clinical Psychology training programme. As a Clinical Tutor, I co-ordinate clinical placement arrangements, implement agreed procedures for the monitoring and appraisal of clinical experience and the development of clinical competencies of trainees, including organisation of placement visits and liaising with NHS supervisors.

My NHS role involves working in the South Yorkshire Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service supporting families to improve their well-being. I have previously worked within a variety of adult settings including Community Mental Health Teams, Acute Hospital Teams, Early Intervention in Psychosis teams and Family Therapy services.

My special interests include Community Psychology, Systemic Practice and I use Mindfulness approaches professionally and personally.

My current Research Interests include:

  • Social Constructionism
  • Community Psychology
  • Open Dialogue

I am particularly interested in Qualitative Methodology and opportunities for Participatory Action Research.
