Profile
Jinan is a Research Assistant within the Leeds Institute of Health Sciences. She is currently assisting with adapting an online guided self-help intervention, funded by Diabetes UK, which aims to adapt and explore the feasibility of an intervention to manage binge-eating in adults with Type 2 Diabetes.
Jinan has a special interest in behavioural change and developing culturally-tailored complex interventions; and has experience of using both qualitative and quantiative approaches. Her PhD research explored the feasibility and acceptability of intervention components for the prevention of Type 2 Diabetes within the UK Arab ethnic minority group; based on the Medical Research Council (2000) framework for developing and evaluating complex interventions.
