Profile

Andy graduated from the University of Leeds with a BSc in Microbiology, and then completed an MSc at the Universities of Salford, Manchester and Keele. He worked as a research technician for various groups at Manchester Royal Infirmary and then the University of Manchester. In 2005 he began a PhD in Molecular Medicine under the supervision of Professors David Ray and Rachelle Donn. After completing his PhD, Andy moved to the laboratory of Professor Neil Hanley in the Centre for Diabetes and Endocrinology at the University of Manchester. Andy moved to the University of Leeds in 2019 to lead the Bioimaging and Flow facility at St James Campus under the mentorship of Drs Gina Doody and Jacquelyn Bond.
