Profile
Dr. Jim Zhong is an Interventional Oncologist and Honorary Consultant Radiologist at Leeds Cancer Centre and a Cancer Research UK Clinical Trial Fellow at the University of Leeds CRUK Clinical Trials Unit. He completed his academic training and radiology residency in Leeds which included completing a Cancer Research UK funded PhD and Clinical Research Training Fellowship (2020-2023) studying the combination of imaging and hypoxia biomarkers to personalise prostate radiation therapies.
His current work focuses on developing and implementing interventional oncology clinical trials of the future, aiming to advance minimally invasive cancer treatments. Dr. Zhong's academic and clinical efforts are integral to enhancing interventional oncology practices and patient outcomes. A strong advocate for education and mentorship, Dr Zhong is committed to nurturing the next generation of Interventional Radiology (IR) researchers. His dedication to training and collaboration led him to found the UNITE collaborative (https://www.unitecollaborative.com/), promoting national/ international IR research engagement and development.
