Profile

I joined the University of Leeds in 2014 as a study coordinator in the Molecular and Personalised Medicine group led by Professor Ann Morgan. Our group is based in the Department of Discovery and Translational Science in LICAMM. Since 2018 I have been project manager on the MRC-funded TARGET (Treatment According to Response in Giant cEll arTeritis) project. I obtained my PhD from the University of Sheffield in 2010 and have experience of working in clinical research both in academia and industry.

My role on TARGET is to manage research studies from setup through to completion. This includes:

  • Governance and regulatory compliance (ethics, R&D, HRA, research networks)
  • Site setup and monitoring
  • Study co-ordination (CTIMP and non-CTIMP)
  • Data collection, management and analysis
  • Co-ordination of sample collections and storage
  • Internal and external reporting

Qualifications

  • PhD Linguistics
  • BA (Hons) English Language and Linguistics
