Dr Michelle Eldridge

Profile

Michelle is a Clinical Teaching Fellow in the Academic Unit of Primary Care for the MB ChB and is responsible for Quality Assurance of Primary Care clinical practice placements. She is also a GP Partner at Windhill Green Medical Practice in Shipley. 

Qualifications PGCE Education in Primary Care, MRCGP 2002, MBChB – Leeds 1996.

Current role

Delivery of Year 3 Primary Care Teaching sessions

Development and standard-setting of summative assessment material

Invigilating and examining in Year 3 and Year 5 OSCEs

GP Tutor in practice to Year 3 and Year 5 students, and widening access students

Quality Assurance role: annual practice visits and telephone reviews as part of the formal Quality Assurance Programme

Day-to-day support of teaching practices and recruitment of practices to teaching

Development of a standard-setting document for teaching practices

Delivery of placement teaching to Year 3 and Year 5 students

Delivery of Continuing Professional Development workshops about medical education to GP tutors and all grades of hospital-employed staff interested or currently providing teaching.
