Profile

My job involves software development of PROMs systems along with medical coding and analysis of data collected from clinical trials. Providing appropriate support for medical staff obtaining the right electronic data whilst managing security protocols & permissions. Rob started work as data manager in the Psychosocial Oncology Clinical Practice and Research Group (POG) in 2013, prior to this he spent many years working in industry developing various software systems including a medical triage system for “out of hour’s” medical centres, a rota system capable of planning care support for Autism Plus, learning management systems used by universities, military & the NHS and finally production management systems for the capture, analysis & reporting of real-time data from factory production lines.D

Research & Teaching

Rob has also spent 10 years working in research & development at Lincoln University where he was researching the use of computers for cognitive-based learning of complex problems by developing real-time 3D simulations of physical systems and using adaptive learning management systems. During this time he also taught undergraduates in the following subjects:

Interfacing with computers

Structured programming methodologies

Programming real-time 2d & 3d graphics

Programming real-time physics (simulation)

 Applied digital signal processing.
