Visiting Fellow, Lead Research Radiographer, Leeds Teaching Hospital qualified as a diagnostic radiographer in 1989 for the Royal Free School of Radiography.

I have specialised in magnetic resonance imaging for over 25 years. I have had a varied career working within the private sector, industry and the NHS in clinical and managerial positions. In addition to these, I was lucky to be appointed as the Lead Radiographer for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games. I was awarded an NIHR CAT fellowship to study for a PhD in November 2010. I was awarded my PhD in 2015 with a thesis entitled ‘Magnetic resonance imaging of synovitis without the use of intravenous gadolinium’ from the school of Medicine, University of Leeds. I am continuing my research into non-contrast MRI of synovitis at 1.5T and collaborating with an industrial partner looking at synovitis and ACL reconstructions. I am the lead for research and innovation for the Radiology CSU and radiotherapy departments at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
