Mrs Kirstie Godson

DUTIES: As an academic lecturer within the diagnostic imaging team I deliver the academic and practical diagnostic ultrasound   imaging program to our students. I am the module leader for the Science and Technology Cohort and the Negotiated and Focused Negotiated imaging practices. (MSK Ultrasound and Vascular ultrasound modules)

I work closely with students delivering the academic teaching components of each module ensuring that the lectures are delivered within a variety of ways to ensure the students remain engaged and interested as well as ensuring the students are up to date with new techniques and developing technologies. I work with the students within the clinical environment on a one to one basis, or group basis and feel this interlinks both the academic and clinical practices

Student education

As an academic lecturer within the Diagnostic imaging team I am keen to ensure that students gain a high standard of education within a specialised field. It is important that students not only gain knowledge but at the same time this knowledge is presented at a level that students understand, enjoy and can engage with all aspects of the programme and as a lecturer I ensure that the teaching I provide is innovative, up to date and linked to best practice within current clinical practice.
