Profile

I provide operational support and research management for the NIHR Leeds Biomedical Research Centre, across the University of Leeds, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and University of York partnership, ensuring the successful delivery of the BRC research portfolio and development of future funding submissions/research proposals.  The Leeds BRC has recently expanded to 6 research themes; Antimicrobial Resistance and Infection, Cardiometabolic Disease, Haematology, Musculoskeletal Disease, Pathology and Surgical Technologies.

Research interests

The group's research is linked to the interests and priorities of HCAI infection diagnosis and management, infection control, antimicrobial resistance and the microbiome and operates a shared goal of excellence across academia, patient care and public health.  The group is a world leader in Clostridum difficile research.
