Profile

I hold a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Medicine and Child Health from the University of Aberdeen, where my research focused on respiratory conditions in children. I also holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Paediatrics and Child Health from Cardiff University and a Postgraduate Certificate in Tertiary Education (PgCTert) from the University of Bradford, through which I was accredited as a Fellow of Advance HE (FHEA). I am a medical graduate, having earned her Doctor of Medicine and Surgery (M.D.) from the University of Malta.

I am an experienced academic and programme leader with a rich background spanning clinical practice and higher education. I bring years of expertise from both the NHS and the university sector to my role, specialising in the design and delivery of postgraduate healthcare and clinical education programmes.

My work focuses on innovative curriculum development, the integration of educational technology, and fostering inclusive, multi-professional learning environments. I am passionate about academic mentorship and evidence-informed teaching practice. I actively supervise Master's and PhD students and play a key role in developing and securing accreditation for new curricula, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the healthcare workforce.

I oversee the development and delivery of postgraduate programmes in Clinical Education. I have extensive experience in curriculum design, innovative assessment methods, and fostering collaborative learning environments.

I am committed to evidence-informed practice and provide academic mentorship, supporting the development of curricula and supervise both Master's and PhD students.
