Profile

I joined the University of Leeds in 2020 to undertake a PhD in Cardiovascular and Metabolic Disease. Prior to this, I worked in the cardiovascular medical device industry, providing clinical support for cardiac rhythm management and coronary intervention services. Following completion of my PhD, I remained at the University of Leeds as a Research Fellow within the Leeds Institute of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine (LICAMM).

During my PhD, I investigated the impact of right ventricular pacing on left ventricular function and heart failure, using advanced echocardiography to improve the understanding and early detection of pacing-related left ventricular dyssynchrony.

My current research focuses on cardiovascular imaging and people with cardiac device. I also hold an honorary contract as a Cardiac Physiologist with Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, working closely with clinical and research colleagues across the Trust and the University.

Alongside my research, I contribute to undergraduate teaching, supervise MSc research projects within the School of Medicine, and support multicentre cardiovascular research across the University of Leeds and Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
