Dr Abi Albutt

Profile

I am a mixed methods and qualitative researcher with a background in Psychology and Applied Health Research. I completed my PhD in 2018 using mixed methods to explore the role of patients and families in managing clinical patient deterioration in hospital. Between 2018-2023 I worked as a Research Fellow in the NIHR Yorkshire and Humber Patient Safety Translational Research Centre conducting research with a focus on patient involvement in patient safety. In 2023, I began working as a Qualitative Research Fellow at the Leeds Institute for Clinical Trials Research, University of Leeds. My role involves conducting qualitative research and process evaluations as part of a research programme aimed at improving the suspected head and neck cancer pathway.
