Profile
I finished medical school in China in 2015, and moved to Manchester to study immunology. Following the award of my Master degree (MSc) in clinical immunology from Manchester, I was awarded a China Scholarship Council in partnership with the University of Leeds (CSC-Leeds Scholarship).
I started my PhD research project in October 2017, in the Leeds Institute of Rheumatic and musculoskeletal Medicines (LIRMM) in Dr Frederique Ponchel’s group (Translational Research in Immune-Mediated Inflammatory Disease (TRIMID).
Research interests
My project currently focusing on the role of B-cells in the pathogenesis of Osteoarthritis (OA). My aim is to better understand the pathology of OA by distinguishing ageing-associated changes in B-cell maturation and auto-antibodies production, from those that are OA-specific.
