Research interests
My research focuses primarily around how to optimally support patients with understanding and taking medicines. In particular I am interested in understanding how risk of harm, likelihood of benefit and uncertainty about medicines are communicated to patients. I am currently involved in an NIHR funded project that focuses on effective communication of pharmaceutical treatment uncertainty in Memory Assessment Services. I was awarded a PhD in 2015 which was jointly supported by The University of Leeds and the MHRA and focused on the provision of a headline section & additional benefit information in regulated patient information leaflets.
