Profile

I am a lecturer in adult nursing, teaching on both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. My teaching areas include key concepts of health and wellbeing, providing complex care, role transition and leadership in nursing, evidence-based practice, clinical skills, as well as Independent and Supplementary Prescribing. I am a member of the School of Healthcare Ethics Committee and Module Assessment Board. I am also the Academic Personal Tutor for the 09/2025 cohort.

Research interests

I completed my PhD at the University of Sheffield in 2023. My study explored the challenges faced by healthcare professionals in recognising and responding to victims of child sexual abuse. My research explores social and public health problems affecting children and vulnerable adults, including abuse, violence, safeguarding practices and policies. This includes exploring the experiences of victim-survivors, family members, and healthcare professionals, as well as improving healthcare services.
