Profile

I joined the School of Healthcare as a Applied Social Care Research Fellow in 2025.

I have a background in community nursing, and worked as a District Nurse for several years before moving into education and research. I previously worked at the University of Nottingham as a Senior Research Fellow in Palliative care, and the University of York as a Lecturer, then Senior Lecturer in Nursing. I continue to be visiting Senior Lecturer at the University of York.

Research interests

I am a qualitative researcher whose research interests relate to applied social care and health contexts. My current role is to lead the day-to-day delivery of the NIHR funded OSCAR study, exploring how social care organisations attract, recruit and retain their younger workforce.
