Laura began her dental career in 2007 after qualifying from the Leeds Dental Institute as a Dental Therapist. Since then she has worked in NHS, private and corporate practices working alongside specialists in periodontal disease, orthodontics and paediatrics. She now works as a teaching fellow at the University of Leeds and is Admissions Tutor for the Hygiene and Therapy Programme. In 2014 Laura began working for the General Dental Council as a fitness to practice panellist.

Before her dental career Laura obtained a degree in Ecology (BSc Hons) from the University of Edinburgh and subsequently worked on a DEFRA contract helping scientists access research funding.
