Jenny Owen

Profile

Jenny is a Lecturer in Dental Public Health, with experience in clinical practice, education, and research. Her work focuses on improving oral health outcomes for young children and families, particularly through applied public health approaches. She has contributed to several externally funded studies and the co-design of patient-facing resources. She holds an MSc in Dental Public Health and has completed an NIHR Pre-doctoral Clinical Academic fellowship. Her research integrates qualitative and quantitative methods to explore behavioural determinants of oral health, with a particular interest in oral health, diet and nutrition in young children. She is passionate about reducing oral health inequalities and continues to collaborate across disciplines to develop evidence-based interventions that support families and practitioners.
