Mrs Frances L Clement

Profile

Frances started working life in Further Education as an Examinations Officer Assistant. During her 20 years in further education she was promoted to Team Leader for Admissions, Examinations/Assessments and Timetabling.

She attended York College of Arts and Technology studying Public Administration and completed her HND in 1992, she also attended Leeds Metropolitan University as a part time student and gained a BA(Hons) in Business Management in 2003.

Student education

Frances joined the university in 1996. She was part of a team employed to implement the new BChD Dental Surgery Programme.

When the University implemented the new student education service structure she was given the role of Programme Support Manager, a role that supports academics and students with their programme of study. Frances assists module and year leaders to timetable activities for the BChD/MChD Dental Surgery, BSc Hygiene and Therapy and PG  programmes booking resources and working with other schools and faculties to provide teaching on the programmes.

She works with the NHS to provide student clinical placements for all clinical programmes in the Leeds Dental Institute, General Dental Practices and Orthodontic Practices. She is responsible for allocating students in hospitals for Oral Surgery and Oral Medicine placements.
