Ruth Kayman

Profile

In 1993, I joined the University of Leeds, School of Dentistry, which has provided me with a wide range of opportunities to develop significant knowledge and expertise across Student Education and Research & Innovation.

As the School's Research & Innovation Manager, I play a key strategic role in the development of efficient research support processes to ambitiously grow research income and deliver high-quality research with impact. I have responsibility for the leadership and management of a dynamic and responsive support service to ensure the academic delivery of high-quality research outputs with impact that aligns with the aims/objectives of the School, Faculty and wider University research community.  I have a significant role in leading the identification, instigation, development and ongoing management of strategic cross-sector working with key industrial partners and stakeholders.

Working in collaboration with the Director of Research and Innovation, Heads of Division, Research Group Leads and senior academics, I provide expert guidance to influence and effect change in relation to shaping and consolidating research and innovation activities within the School (including the Dental Clinical and Translational Research Unit, DenTCRU), Faculty and wider University research community.
