Carlyn Boyce

Profile

I have worked in mental health for over 15 years across a range of clinical and educational settings, supporting individuals experiencing both common and complex mental health difficulties. My professional background is in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and my areas of clinical interest include anxiety, self-esteem, long-term health conditions, trauma, and culturally responsive psychological practice.

I have a particular interest in anti-racist practice and the impact of race, racism, identity, and intersectionality on mental health and psychological therapies. My work includes contributing to teaching, training, and professional discussions in these areas.

In my current role as a Senior Teaching Fellow, I contribute to the teaching, supervision, assessment, and professional development of trainee clinical psychologists, with particular responsibility for CBT training.
