Profile
I am a Research Fellow in the Patient Centred Outcomes Research Group at the Leeds Institute of Medical Research. My research focuses on the development and evaluation of patient-reported outcome measures, with experience in core outcome set development, psychometric validation, and improving outcome measurement in clinical trials and health services research.
I hold a PhD in Health from Edge Hill University, where my doctoral research contributed to the development of core outcome sets for physiotherapy research. I also hold an MSc in Advancing Practice (Physiotherapy) from the University of Birmingham and a BSc in Physiotherapy from the University of Jordan. My academic training is complemented by clinical and teaching experience in the UK and Jordan. I am a registered physiotherapist with the UK Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
My methodological expertise includes qualitative research, systematic reviews, Delphi consensus methods, and measurement validation. I have an established track record of peer-reviewed publications across rehabilitation, oncology, and outcome measurement research.
My current research is funded by the EORTC and is focused on the development of the EORTC patient-reported inventory of symptomatic adverse events, and I am actively collaborating on multiple projects within the EORTC Quality of Life Group (QLG). I am also a member of MASCC, contributing to work in survivorship and exercise oncology.
