Profile

I am the Deputy Faculty Operations Director (Education). Working in collaboration with academic and professional service colleagues, I lead the development and delivery of an operational plan to deliver the faculty education strategy. I also manage the Faculty aligned specialist education teams.

Before working in the Faculty, I was Head of Learning Enhancement within the Student Education Service here at Leeds between 2018-2024, overseeing the University’s higher and degree apprenticeship provision. Between 2020-2024 I also led the Professional Service Team in the Leeds Institute for Teaching Excellence (LITE).

Prior to this, I completed a BSc in Biochemistry at the University of Bath and then came to the University of Leeds in 2003 to undertake a PhD in the Faculty of Biological Sciences. I worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow for a further 7 years in FBS specialising in Alzheimer’s disease, before joining the Quality Assurance (QA) Team in 2014. During this time I has worked with Faculty of Engineering, the Digital Education Service and had oversight of Professional, Statutory and Regulatory (PSRB) accreditations across the University.
