Dr Shaista Meer

Profile

After graduating with a degree in Psychology, I worked in adult mental health services before starting my career in research. This gave me a good insight into how services can support indiviuals with mental illness in the community.

Through my various research roles I have gained good experience of working across a variety of studies, with a diveristy of populations and using different research methods. My PhD research investigated self-perception of emotion in individuals with non-epileptic seizures.

I currently work across two different studies in the School of Medicine. I work with the Patient Centered Outcomes Research group in LIMR and with the Nuffield Centre for International Health and Devlopement in LIHS.
